London, March 25th, 2011-SalvationDATA has announced its coming SDII Server(SAS/SCSI) data recovery system on March 23rd in Chengdu, China: all-in-one server data recovery system recovering data from both SAS and SCSI hard drives, including Server disaster data recovery module, RAID recovery module and Video positioning and recovery module. ‘We’re going to put this new tool into mass production in late April or so and it can be available to the international market in June’, Said the CTO of SalvationDATA, Mr. Fan, according to our reporter.
Compared with IDE or SATA hard drives, SAS/SCSI hard drives are not so widely used as consumer storage devices. SCSI stands for Small Computer System Interface. SAS stands for Serial Attached SCSI. SAS/SCSI drives are typically utilized in RAID’s, servers and other high-performance workstations.
SAS has many more advantages over SCSI: It retains SCSI’s long-established software advantage; it has much smaller connectors and cables which benefits SAS with greater system cooling and lower system cost; SAS has larger capacity, greater density, security, scalability and accessibility are more critical than ever. Enterprise data centers must be online all the time, fulfill requests from numerous users simultaneously, allow for constant growth and expansion and be maintained during operation. SAS meets all of these demands while providing the highest performance. The escalating use of SAS hard drives calls for the research and development of professional SAS data recovery tools while there’re only some SAS data recovery software or some in-house use customized SAS recovery solutions. For SCSI data recovery hardware tools, we have so far found only one from Russia-PC3000 for SCSI.
The SDII comes as the world’s first professional SAS/SCSI data recovery hardware system which adopts the backdoor-free hardware design of North American Industrial Standard which requires no need to connect the PC or internet or have complex configurations. Users are able to recover data from the SAS/SCSI drives with firmware corruption, bad sectors or RAID failure. It has other modules including the unqiue Video positioning and recovery module.
